Embedded systems are designed to bring optimization and reduce the size and cost of the product. These systems generally use microprocessor or custom designed chips or sometimes both. Embedded solutions covers all aspects of designing hardware and software solution as some tasks cannot be completed just by using computer application. It becomes stupendous to use a computer to carryout small tasks. They are mostly standalone system and work without any extremities.

These system are more efficient as they have dedicated OS configuration or specific embedded OS. In general they are also mini computers but designed to do certain tasks only.
